Leadership Myth: "Change is always scary." That's FALSE.
Change is scary because our human instinct to anything uncertain is to fear it. Employees fear change for three reasons:
🔎 Uncertainty: They ask themselves, 'What is changing for me?' 'How will my routine be changed?' 'Will I still have a job?'
🤔 Competency: They tell themselves, 'I don't know how to do this.' 'People are going to make this hard for me.' 'I'll be replaced.'
💸 Costly: They convince themselves, 'This will take from me things I value -time, money, power, authority, reputation, or even relationships.'
But it doesn’t have to be this way. Effective change management can transform fear into opportunity by helping employees see that:

☑️The rewards outweigh the costs.
